Glénat to Publish Conan Comics in Europe

One of the largest French publishers, Glénat, will be adapting twelve (12) Robert E. Howard Conan stories into graphic novels.

Each adaptation will be from a different creative team.
There won’t be any kind of "standard" look for Conan’s appearance.
Each creative team will have the freedom to draw the Cimmerian their own way.

The first graphic novel, LE COLOSSE NOIR, will be published in May 2018.
It will adapt "Black Colossus."
The creative team is Vincent Brugeas, Kellee Riley, and Toulhoat.

Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention Auction
Glenn Lord estate auction

From Doug Ellis:

Over 80 issues of Weird Tales (most featuring stories or poems by Robert E. Howard, and many with material by H.P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith) will be in the Glenn Lord estate auction being held on Friday night, April 6, 2018, at the upcoming Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention (April 6-8, 2018, at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center). Here's one of them -- the December 1932 issue, featuring a great J. Allen St. John cover for Otis Adelbert Kline's "Buccaneers of Venus." Of course, the issue is of particular interest to REH fans, as it also features his "Phoenix on the Sword," the first published adventure of Conan.

Conan is returning to Marvel Comics

Marvel and Conan Properties International announced that Conan is returning to Marvel Comics, his original comic book home.

The Robert E. Howard creation first debut with Marvel in 1970 and ran for 275 issues until 1993, along with a handful of miniseries and 235 issues of Savage Sword of Conan magazine. 650 issues total form 1970 to 2000. The character moved over to Dark Horse comics in 2003, where he’s been published continuously until the most recent series, Conan the Slayer, ended last year.

The new Marvel Conan series is expected to debut in early 2019.
